1st Project Cycles approached us looking to refresh their online presence and better reflect the premium, detail-driven nature of their workshop. As a boutique cycling retailer specialising in high-end bikes, custom builds, and carefully curated components, their previous website wasn’t fully capturing the level of craftsmanship and expertise that defines their brand.

The goal was to create a modern, visually engaging site that not only showcased their products but also highlighted the stories behind their custom builds. Equally important was ensuring the site remained easy to maintain internally, with a structured system that allowed the team to update products, add new builds, and manage content without needing ongoing development support.

Working closely with the team, we redesigned the site with a focus on clean layouts, strong imagery, and a structured content system built around Shopify’s flexibility. The result is a site that balances visual storytelling with practical functionality – giving customers a clear path to explore products, discover custom builds, and get in touch with the workshop.

The Outcome
  • A clean, modern Shopify site that reflects the premium positioning of the brand.
  • A custom builds showcase, allowing each bike build to be presented with imagery, story, and full specifications.
  • A consistent product page structure with expandable sections for features, geometry, size guides, and specifications. Optional 'featured' images were included to better showcase higher-end products.
  • Dynamic filtering and collection organisation, making it easy for customers to browse by brand, category, size, and availability.
  • A custom blog layout designed specifically to highlight completed builds and drive enquiries.
  • A structured content system, allowing the 1st Project team to manage products, blog posts, and specifications easily through Shopify.
  • A scalable framework that allows the site to grow as new brands, products, and builds are added.
